So, I tested positive for Chlamydia and started treatment on Thursday. I’m aware you can get Chlamydia in your throat too, is it common these two happen together?

Also if you were to give oral sex to a new sexual partner would this infect him too?

TIA.

In sexual health clinics , its not routine practice to swab the throats of heterosexual females for chlamydia. Treatment for genital chlamydia should however treat throat infection. If you did have chlamydia in your throat, it can be passed via oral sex to a contact - this however is an unlikely situation.
