If I take the pill and have sex 18 hours later am I still protected by the pill?

Hi gamer,

I can't see a problem with having sex AT ANY TIME if you've been taking your oral contraceptive pills (either combined or mini) regularly.

Is this what you mean or have I missed the point? Please explain if I misunderstood your question.

yes that’s what I mean, I take the pill every day- more or less at the same time every day but i didn’t know if it like stops working after a certain amount of hours or something

The advice will depend on what type of contraceptive pill you're taking (combined or progestogen-only).
