Got throat Chlamydia but haven’t had oral sex everything else has come back clean

Just got diagnosed with throat chlamydia but I haven’t had oral sex since june. Tested positive for actual chlamydia back in june got the all clear back in September so I’m confused how this is positive please help all my other results have been fine

Did you have a throat swab in June ? There is always a small possibility of a fale positive swab result - although the chance is <5%

No I didn’t have a throat swab this was the first ever throat swab I’ve ever done. Will anything happen if i take the anti biotics and i dont have the sti

No I didn’t but I was treated and took antibiotics so I assumed i was all clear

Yes systemic antibiotics should treat chlamydia everywhere. Could be a false positive but you are obliged to treat it .

Chlamydia actually cannot be transmitted from kissing please educate yourself because you’re spreading the wrong details to people
