Dark red/black bleeding

Sorry for the graphic image but I am on the pill and don’t usually have periods but have missed the last pill and now this has happened. What is it? Should I be concerned? TIA

Breakthrough bleeding is normally dark red and you can have breakthrough bleeding by missing a pill...if it continues then speak to your GP.

I had this several times whilst on the pill, its just a build up of uterine lining as such, a 'breakthrough' bleed, if you missed a pill it can bring it on, or sometimes it just happens in place of a period. See the gum clinic if you're concerned

No, I wouldn't be too worried. This can be pretty common especially if you missed a pill. Just try make sure to avoid this happening again
