I'm considering going on the combined pill soon as both protection and to try help with my period (it's irregular and heavy and often painful for the first 2-3 days (I haven't seen a dr about this before)). I'm a little concerned that the 21 day pill won't work as my period is so irregular and late that I have no idea if it will regulate that soon. As well I'm pretty nervous about actually going to the doctors about getting the pill as I don't know how to bring the topic up. Any advice?
