If you think you’ve been infected with HIV within the last 3 months, the only definite testing that would be 100% accurate is an HIV viral load (HIV quantitative RNA) test. The antibody testing usually takes some months to turn positive. The RNA test is positive within 1-2 weeks. If you test negative for HIV RNA, then you can be sure that you don’t have HIV.

New Herpes virus infection can also cause you to feel sick in the same time frame that you have described. However there is no viral load test for herpes. Only the antibody testing. Which means it won’t be positive in the blood for about 3 months (some say 6 months). The only way to confirm this any earlier is to swab the genital blisters before they dry and crust over. The doc will send the fluid within the blisters for testing. This test is > 80% accurate if you get the blistered tested within 48 hours of them forming. Otherwise the accuracy is low. Hope this helps. Good luck. And wear a condom for Gods sake.

Firstly don't panic, even if you were to be infected with HIV it is no longer the major issue it once was and you can expect a normal life expectancy.

Second two weeks is generally too short a time period and is normally 4 weeks when you develop cold like symptoms (vomiting is not normally associated with a HIV infection).

At 4 weeks you can get a HIV test which is over 95% accurate, and if it came back negative then you can be confident that you don't have it because you get the cold (sometimes referred to as the F*** Flu) because the body is fighting the infection and would therefore be detectable.

I think it is more likely to be something else and likely not even related to your sexual activity but for this you would need to talk to your GP.
