Problems with the combined pill

I've been taking the combined pill for just over a week now. I was told to take my first pill on the first day of my period which was a Thursday so I did. It's now the Sunday after, so it's been over a week and I'm still getting small bits of bleeding when I was told it should stop in a few days. Is that normal?? I feel like my period should have stopped by now

Hi there,

I’m not an expert but this kind of irregular bleeding is (I think) pretty normal when you’ve only just stared the pill, and will be for a couple of months. Don’t worry, but remember to use additional protection for a few days if you’re unsure, but I’m sure you’ll be fine :)
