Sterilization aftercare

So last Monday I went in to be sterilised. Aftercare given was not fantastic and I have searched online but nothing seems solid wherever I look. So, everything was normal, belly button and pant line incision. I have had showers every evening since Wednesday and havent got them wet (bravo too me) anyway, right now I desperate to have a bath, I am missing them. I can't stand Luke warm baths and love and enjoy them hot. I have waterproof plasters on each one, have changed them everyday since Wednesday. I asked the nurse at the hospital when I could have baths and she said that generally a shower would be OK but just continue having baths as normal. Iv been told that if I bath in hot water that my stitches will melt 🤔 so as you can imagine, I'm confused as to what to do. There is no further help needed now from either the hospital or the doctors. So can I bath? In hot water? 6 days post op

Don't know for sure. Might be too soon. Try to hold out another week.

I wasn't allowed a bath for over 6 months for other reasons and found that amazingly difficult

Maybe phone yr gp nurse for advice. But dont think I would risk complications for the sake of a few days more.

You should be okay. As soon as I could I was actively trying to get rid of stiches but didnt go until 3-4 weeks. Just bath for a shorter time than you would to test it out to make yourself feel better. I also didnt get much help except for 24hrs with plaster then shower/bath as normal just as long as you make sure its properly dry after. Sorry if this isnt too helpful x
