I broke up with my ex 8 years ago and he messaged me the other day saying he had gonharia when we where togeather (just telling me now ) :/ is it possible that I have had gonharia in my throat for all these years with out knowing it?! :/ also 1 year later after breaking up with him I met someone new and now been togeather for 7 years and just being told this news it is worrying me :/ and having too tell my partner worrying me too

I would go and get tested first if I was you before mentioning anything to a current partner. They should be able to tell you there and then if you have it. I would have thought you would have had symptoms if you had it. Get checked and if it's positive talk to your partner. For all you know your ex might just be trying to cause trouble so I personally would get checked first

Like Beef1996 has said you should get yourself tested before you say anything to your partner however with such a time having elapsed I can only really see 3 possibilities:

1) Your Ex has lied just to try and create a rift between you and your current partner.

2) You did have it but with such a long time having passed it is likely that you will have been on a course of antibiotics for another condition which has also cleared up any gonorrhea.

3) You are positive but non symptomatic though considering the time length this is high unlikely.

There have been a couple of cases where they have naturally fought of the infection but the opposite is more regularly the case where it gets harder to treat the longer it is left, so please don't delay in getting tested.

As a separate piece of advice it is always a good idea to get yourself a full health screening when you end with one partner and start with another, this way you don't pass on any infections but also if you are your new partner start of all clear and then an infection crops up then you know for sure that something must have happened!

all is good everyone tests came back negative he was just trying too cause trouble!
