Whoever tests you is likely to want to treat you, if it's positive. If you want to get treated elsewhere (GP, GUM/STI clinic...) then, by all means, ask whoever tests you...

Hi,

Sexual health clinics are amazing as you don’t need to tell your Gp anything and neither do they. You are a seperate patients in a clinic sometimes a number to keep strict confidentiality. This is from getting tested so the way to treatment and beyond in terms of keeping your records. Your partner does not have to know that u have been unless you tell them, the only thing you need to do it present to a service and say my partner has tested positive for an STI, I would also like a screen and chances are it might not have been transmitted.

Hope this helps!
