Hello there, looking for some answers as got no where with GP and sexual heath departments, was brushed off by them both.

We are both 55 and in generally good heath

We have had a good sex life and have been married for 18 years.

Then, about 2 years ago my wife started to have a very fishy smell a couple of hours after sex (I have had vasectomy and we use no protection)

She saw doctor and she was given some pills and cream think it was put down to Bacterial vaginosis .

This continued in cycles for a few months, during this time I also started to smell fishy, I was thinking it was from my wife. I started to pull out as i ejaculated and it seemed that the smell for my wife had stopped, but I carried in staring to smell for a few days after even after washing.

Finally we both went to the local sexual clinic to be checked out.

She was swabbed and given the all clear but i was brushed off and told it was a reaction or an imbalance of our PH levels and told it it could not be me as women only get Bacterial vaginosis . I was given condoms and sent on my way.

I was put off having sex again as I was starting to feel it was me that was infecting my wife.

I then noticed a slight bend at the tip of my penis, just below the gland, this did not duly worry me, but over the last 5 months it has now bent upwards about 45 degrees and can be quite sore when erect, you cannot see anything wrong when flaccid there are no lumps or bumps.

I am circumcised.

When i masturbate (as not having sex now) I still smell fishy after a while for 2 or 3 days. If i go for some time without ejaculating then there is no smell and nothing seems wrong, but as soon as i get some pre *** or ejaculate, the smell comes back.

My *** smells fine, and no fishy smell to that so I have no idea whats going on.

Getting quite depressed with it now as everyone has just fobbed me off.

I am not on any medication at the moment

I would say, sometimes the fishy smell comes from something you are eating. I have experience it and some of my partners have too.

I agree with the other reply that you could have a look at your diet however I don't understand how the smell would last for that long. I would suggest calling the NHS helpline and explain to them that it is causing problems with your relationship and depression.

Hi, I have had the same e but just a little different, I am 47 fella and mine is the same after sex and last for 2-3 days I did get pains as well which have now gone but no bend on penis, the sensation I feel during intercourse is not the same a little loss in feeling.

I have been to sex clinic and given the all clear, been to doctors but have had no luck I have even had a camera inside penis to see if there are any issues but nothing found.

It' not a very nice situation and I do understand what your going through especially as there does not seem to be any useful advise out there : 0 (

Anyone can help please advise.
