Cervical swabs and bleeding

Had a few swabs taken by gynae on Friday, she noticed an erosion but didn't go into any detail (told me to chase up a smear as I'm due around now and I'm ringing GP for that tomorrow) i've had light bleeding since the swabs and I'm not sure what I should do about it? Is it something to be worried about? Thanks in advance.

Quite normal...but do discuss when you go for your smear.

Thank you for your reply. Been, discussed, have to now wait until I see gynae in 2 months

I had thinning of one small area the cervix as a side effect of being on the pill which caused bleeding after vigorous sex and whenever I had a smear. Could be something simple like that. Definitely see an experienced GP and discuss your concerns & results.

Thank you they aren't sure what has caused the erosion, GP agreed I shouldnt have bled after a swab but also not willing to do anything as I still have a year left until my next smear (I forgot I was on every 3 years, previously 6m, 1y and thought I was still on 2ys.) Back to gynae in two months so will ask there.
