Going on the pill?

I want to go on the pill but I don't know where to get if or how to ask to get it I'm 16 by the way

you can either go to your GP or your local sexual health clinic. Usually sexual health clinics do pop up stores based in your local area that you can just walk in without an appointment straight away and be seen by a nurse. Just pop it into google and you should find something near you. I started getting the pill when i was 16 too and it made life so much easier.

Just also a heads up for going on the pill, you get asked a lot of questions such as your own medical and family history, any existing health conditions, if you're sexually active, if you smoke, have any eating disorders, they weigh you, check your blood pressure and ask your height, and also if you're sexually active will ask you to do a chlamydia test (I had to do one when I went to my local clinic when I first got the pill). If you're going to go to your local clinic check when they do their sexual health drop in sessions online and also ask a friend or family member to go with you and wait for you as it can be a bit awkward or daunting the first time you go in!
