Urine infection?

Hi, I've had a stinging sensation when I pee for about a week now but I've started to get back pains and pains on my left side, I've got Cyst's on my right overie but I had a scan 2 weeks ago today, I'm wondering could a urine infection cause pains in my left side and lower back?? HELP! Please.

Get yourself to the doctors. I myself had a UTI (urinary tract infection) last week and had the burning when you pee, terrible pains in my back, hot and cold sweats etc. Doc will make you do a pee test and test it right there and then and give you 3 day course of antibiotics. I felt much better on day two.

You need another scan, this will establish if this is a urinary/kidney infection or if it's ovarian. A dipstick test and blood tests will help eliminate what it's not. On initial information this sounds like it might be a kidney infection caused by an ascending UTI. Do you have a fever?

I don't have a fever but I'm tired all the time and pain comes and goes from my lower back

Go see your GP and ask for blood tests, it's difficult without knowing a full history and your past medical history but I'd suggest Urea and electrolytes, FBC, ESR to start with and ask for pain relief and anti inflammatories if you're not asthmatic. Hope that helps, but it needs dealing with quickly before it gets worse.

Definitely a urine infection I had so many I know the signs but concider you could have another proplem going on I had all the signs of a water infection turned out I had a cist on my overies
