I am on the 21day contraceptive pill and have finished the 21 days 5 days ago however I have not yet bled? When would I start bleeding. I don't not want to start the next 21 days on the pill until I bleed

HI, I'm on the same pill I think, if its 21 pills then a 7 day break. I normally start bleeding on day 6 of the break. I start the next 21 days when the 7 day break ends if I have bled or not. As sometimes I didn't or I didn't notice the bleed as it was light. Hope this helps, if you are in any doubt go back and see your GP or nurse

Do start your next lot of pills, the bleeding is a withdrawal bleed and not necessary. If you have missed any pills ( >24hrs ) it's worth checking you are not pregnant.
