It is very difficult to say what it is without seeing it, but if it looks like chicken pox (which is another Herpes virus) it could be genital herpes. If you have sores also, I would strongly recommend you both visit your local Sexual Health / GUM clinic to get it checked and treated. For your nearest clinic visit bashh.org/clinics.
