1 single white spot on the end of my foreskin for about 1 year. No itching. No puss. No blood and no pain but it's still a single tiny white spot on my foreskin and the surround area gets a little shiny and red at times. I just been tested and waiting for results. What could this be do you think?
Worried guy with big imagination.
Hi Homeseal,
I’m glad you have been tested it’s great you have found the courage to start that investigation especially being a guy. From my experience this could be number of things from herpes simplex 2 which is genital herpes and this is your first shankra (wart/sore). It could also be a dermatological (skin-related) and nothing sexual at all.
Hello. I am a little worried. I have what feels like a really bad uti, I am also seeing my urine is pink and when I wipe myself I can see there is blood on the tissue. This is bright red also. I am wanting to pee every minute and I am in so much pain when I come to the end of urinating. What should I do? What do you think this could be please? I am a women in my early 30s.
Hi,
Have u had any investigations to rule out an UTI. as from what you describing I would say it might be. It would also be very good to know when this is occurring for example after sex or just before your mestruaral period, aslo to have knowledge of what contraceptive method you are on if any. I would also encourage you to present to a GUm/ Sexual Health clinic with this health issue and try and get to the bottom of it. But in the meantime of you provide this information I can try and put you at some ease
Hope this helps!
My husband and I had sex 2 nights in a row and the day after in the evening I think it's an uti. I've had a uti before but never with the blood. I am on the contraception pill have been since I had my little girl who is 19 months but started the pill 17 months ago. I have been with my husband for over 10 years and I haven't had any different sexual partners. I haven't had no texts to rule out anything. Should I be worried?
So just to reassure you that if it a UTI it’s treatable and nothing to worry about. About the blood it might be from the type of sex you are having it’s not uncommon to bleed randomly from sex that is rougher than the vaginal walls are used to. As you are stating bleeding after sex this does ring alarm bells for a sti as this can be a sign of something like chlamydia or gonorrhoea. I would advise you listen to your body for anymore signs and symptoms and present to your GP or sexual health clinic.
Hi for my recent unit 12 project I am studying and performing in a play called “Home” by Nadia Fall.I play a character called Portugal girl who has been effected by STDS given to her by her boyfriend and was wondering if any sexual health nurses would awnser some of my questions for my research:
In what age group is the highest common risk factor of having an STD?
Do you think sexual health and safety is introduced enough in school systems today?
In what ways do you believe teenagers can be advised on safe sex?
Do you believe there is negative stigma when it comes to someone with a STD?
Is there physiological effects when someone gets an STD?
Do you believe teenagers are aware of the precautions and concequences of having unsafe sex?
Do you believe with the media being very sexually explicit in his imagery today that it has effected this generations idea on sexual health/safety and love?
