Pregnancy acne

Hello!

I’m currently struggling with the above at 11 weeks. I have ended up with cellulitis and have a very swollen face and pounding head. I’m on antibiotics but wondered if anyone knew of anything that is good to help clear it please? It’s so sore.

If anyone else has had it, did it clear before baby was born or am I likely to have it for another 6 months? I never suffered with my other 2 pregnancies and luckily don’t usually get acne or anything.

No advice I'm afraid, maybe it'll be one of those pregnancy things that clears up after the first trimester? Hope so xxx

Hey lovely,

I had awful skin when I was pregnant, breakouts constantly on my face, neck and shoulders. Like you, it’s not the norm for me! It didn’t start to ease until my third trimester but it did go back to normal xx

Ah that’s reassuring, at least it will improve again eventually! Out of interest did u have a girl? My other 2 are boys but just wondering if there’s any truth in the old wives tale 😀 xx

You never know then, we might manage 1 girl. We don’t normally find out so will be interesting to see x

My skin goes terrible when I'm pregnant with a girl. Could be a girl for you!! My skin awful now normally is OK I'm convinced I'm. having another girl. My skin was fine when i was pregnant with my son.It does get better. Hoping its just one of those pregnancy things for you too hun xx
