Question about registration

Hi everyone.

I have a specific question about registering my baby and was wondering if you could help. I want to use my married name when I register my baby. Means a lot to me for all of us to have the same family name. Only problem is I haven't changed my name yet. When I register him will I need to use the same name as my passport or will I be able to use my married name and change my details later? Any info helps. Cant find the answer on Google.

We didn’t get asked for any form of Id at all so it shouldn’t matter what name you give (I was quite surprised) I think you’ll be fine 😊

You can literally name your baby whatever you want (within reason) they won’t stop you using your married name but your name might be registered on the certificate under you maiden name, but baby can have your married name for sure!
