What support can I get for free (not N.H.S.) for my high end autistic son especially emotional? He starts school in September with nothing in place and the court case is dragging on. Please help, it's not his fault and it breaks my heart.

Try contacting the NAS National Autistic Society and they will put you in touch with a local support group. The one we belong to in Halton is excellent offering real support to its members. They help with all the family not just the person who is autistic. Not just a group of people sitting around drinking coffee and moaning. They get things done.
Thank you for that granny pip, we too (the family) have experienced one of those "all good intentions but little action" type of groups. Sadly this was all our local hospital paediatric unit could come up with in the way of support. It would have been great to have been pointed towards The Hoffmann Foundation as their site has been so helpful and easy to use. I've passed the website address to the specialist who is kindly doing his best for my nieces son.
Have you tried googling support groups in your area? In Portsmouth as well as our own group there is a group called PASN they are good we,our own group only starts at the age of 14 plus they deal with younger children. But never give up you Will find help its just bloody hard ,good luck
You are all so supportive, a lovely group of people. Obviously autism and aspergers only affects the nicest of people. Thank you tezzer and this site is a Godsend don't you think? It seems such a shame that the NHS don't promote it, or at least the NHS unit I frequent.
