Where do I go for help with autistic burnout? I don't have a diagnosis yet but I'm on the waiting list via right to choose. I've been to my GP many times and to the CMHT twice but I get the feeling they don't know what to do with me. I spoke to shout and they sent me here :/

Have a look at Dr Alice Nicholls' website. She's an autistic clinical psychologist who specialises in autistic burnout and has loads of free resources on her website as well as ones you have to pay for. Best of luck!
Oh even if I didn't struggle with groups I can't find it. All I can find is an expensive subscription to some resources, a Facebook group and on a on demand course
I don’t know how old you are but assume adult? My teen had an episode and we had to withdraw her from school and since returning she has been partial attendance. The stress of attendance, academic workload and masking (along with depression), were all triggers.
If you can’t afford therapy then ask GP. You need to understand your stressors- can you reduce working hours at least until you are feeling better?
Remember an autism diagnosis doesn’t lead to any magic drugs or therapy. You are on the pathway for diagnosis so you should be supported as if you ARE Autistic.
I'm already reduced my hours to 30 and it didn't do much. I've done therapy for two years and it didn't really help then why won't the CMHT take people on when they're waiting for an autism diagnosis? Why doesn't my GP know what to do with me?
Hi Saju21,This was our experience too. My daughter really struggled and had reduced time table. What helped fof us was a reward system she set up. She enjoys art and was one of the lessons at school she was better with. We had it where if she managed to stay in class she could have a copix pen, they were a couple of pounds each. It worked to a degree. We also had a one to one person who was in lesson with her and who was the same one to one in the exams. I hope that your daughter is getting good support at school. My daughter cried when they reduced her timetable because she felt she wasn't good enough to be at school, luckily she got to understand that this was actually beneficial.
