Hi Lewistiger,

I'm sorry to hear you had a frightening incident. Have you talked to a friend or family member bout it? Having a chat with someone can help you process how it made you feel.

Police are there to help keep law and order, and to protect people. They can appear intimidating, especially if they're carrying items like tasers. However, they would only ever use them when it is absolutely, utterly necessary, when someone is breaking the law.

Someone I know works in the MET as an officer, and they only allocated him a taser because they knew he was someone who would be very unlikely to use it. They knew he would use discretion.

If you're feeling anxious, I would find some things that help you feel calmer. These could be listening to music you like, or playing a game, whatever works best for you, so long as you are safe. Hopefully these can help you feel a bit better.

I hope you feel better soon.

Best wishes.
