Hello I’m wondering if you could help me in any way, I’m a 23 year old female currently going through assessment for asd after consulting with my gp about my symptoms. However I have no where to live and can’t receive any financial support like pip ect.. to help as working is really hard and difficult, I would need a diagnosis first but that can take ages and I have no place to live. Any help and advice would help, thankyou

You can still apply for PIP if you are working as it is not a means tested benefit its about the cost of living with a disability. You can also apply for a needs assessment from your council. This is also known as a Care Act assessment. You could also try contacting Access to Work for support with your job. There may be other schemes in your area that help with Employment. I know scope do something around trying to keep in work if you struggle due to health issues. It would seem you main priority could be finding somewhere to live. I don't know what your doing for accommodation at the moment but maybe you need to contact someone for advice about this. Maybe speak to Citizens Advice or Shelter to get ball rolling

Thankyou very helpful I feel like I would need a social worker to help me fill in forms ect..

As per your other reply, you can apply for pip regardless of whether you work or not, and also without having a diagnosis: they’re not interested in what’s wrong with someone, they’re only interested in how it effects you day to day. However, I would advise making an appointment with the citizens advice bureau to discuss your situation and get their support with filling in forms etc.. The pip form in particular is lengthy and people who are eligible often get turned down because they haven’t worded the form in the right way to get awarded the points they’re entitled to.

Phone charity for women's shelter - get on internet or citizen advice bureau or any solicitor
