Finding support

Hey friends,

I've very recently been told that I may have Autism. This feels like a breakthrough because I've had mental health challenges for about ten years, and especially recently there has been no obvious way of improving things.

Basically what I really want to ask is does anybody know if there is help I can find in Cornwall, preferably East Cornwall. I'm talking about social groups and support groups, that kind of thing.

Thank you

Hi there Tennisguru,

Here we have Gateway to Care but, I don't think you have that in Cornwall so, you could try ringing adult services in Cornwall or the autistic society as they may have services in the area. Also try a search on Google and something for Austism services Cornwall might be helpful. Good luck in your search.

Hi Bee-bop,

Thanks a lot for your help. I'm trying to get myself on to a Facebook group that looks helpful, however there's some kind of glitch. But there's a number I can call so it should solve the issue.

I really appreciate your guidance, it seems like you've got to try a few different ways in order to find some support and social opportunities. But there will be progress haha.

I hope you've got the support you want in your area

🙂Bye for now,

Mr Tennis
