I have booked special assistance from and to stansted airport on return flights to bologna on the 23rd and 30th Jun. I can walk a little if someone accompanies me. My daughter is going to accompany me to and from the airport and will accompany me as far as the special assistance desk but i will be flying alone. do i have to reserve a space in the car park or is there somewhere she can leave the car while she accompanies me in and collects me on my return? I am a blue badge holder.

Hi you can go to set down near assistance desk but there is a £7 charge but it seems if it's longer they are able to help if you notify them. stanstedairport.com/parking...

I recently flew domestically here in the US and it’s was fairly easy as long as you can get assistance from curbside to the check in counter. When booking your flight you have to request wheelchair assistance. When you tell the airline personnel they will get a person to wheel you through the terminal and to the front of the line at TSA. Disabled people get first priority at security and during boarding.
The key is to request the assistance when booking your flight.
