new walker

my neuroglogist recommended a more solid walker, he wrote

me a prescription , so that Medicare and/or my insurance, Humana,

would reimburse me, which they did. The name of the walker is

"U-step 2 walking stabilizer". I absolutely love my walker, it has saved me from

falling many times. It also has a seat with a container under it to

carry things. phone # 1-800-558-7837 website ustep.com

Hi 🙂 This type of rollator/walker can be be much better than a basic rollator..it keeps the person upright and is much safer when balance is very unstable.

🙂 I saw your other post re Speech Issues

I have a similar upright Walker, which I use around the house and sometimes on visits to garden centres, b&q, etc. Where the floor is relatively flat. Not good for our pavements.

Mine is produced in the uk by MobilityPlus and cost me £150. It’s worth every penny and easily folds for transportation, has a seat and useful bag.

hi. I tried this with my neurologist yesterday and apparently I had been the second person to ask and they want to know who was the neurologist or was it a physiotherapist? Where in the uk you’re based? and how did you get it, was it via a personal health budget?

I have bought one secondhand and are think it is amazing but I have two rollators one for upstairs on for downstairs. I would like a second one.

I live near Akron Ohio I first seen the Ustep walker advertised in a magazine

called Brain & Life (neurology for every living) 201 Chicago Avenue. Minneapolis, MN 55415. I asked my neurologist about the walker and he

thoght he had told me about it. NOT! i first paid for it but then my neurologist

told me to request a reimbursement. My supplemental insurance company Humana reimbursed me part of it and Medicare paid the balance.
