Has anyone with Cerebellar Ataxia been treated with Deep Brain Stimulation? Was it beneficial?

yes ive had deep brain stimulation and it is great it stopped the shakeing right away

Where abouts was your tremor?

I have a tremor in my head and my left hand. Ive been referred for Brain Stimulation. How long did it take you to recover?

hi my tremor was in both hands and one leg, i was in hospital for 13 days it took about 2 weeks to be back to normel i was awake for the operation i didnt feel anything at all,

Look it up on the internet. Essentially it’s electrodes inserted into the brain through which an electric currrent is passed..

Better read about the adverse affects of Deep Brain Simulation creating worse symptoms.

These look to be only possible side effects. They may ameliorated with fine tuning. If I trusted my Neurologist I would rely on their advice. Thank you for the reply.
