Feeling concerned as the website says they operate when you are awake.

🙂 This type of procedure seems to be the norm..There’s reliable info online, but you may feel more reassured after your Surgeon explains it to you.. Rest assured you will be given adequate ‘anaesthesia’, and won’t be awake for the whole of the procedure.

You’ll be fine no problem at all. We will all be waiting to hear how you get on sometime after the opp. GOOD TIP! Never go bungee jumping waring wellies 😂.

You stay safe my friend.

Every brain surgery if different most with a different objective. You will be advised by your neurosurgeon on the best course of action based on that objective. Unless you have specifically told that you will be awake it might not be the case.

I have had brain surgery 9 or 10 times on a tumour and fluid on the brain. Whatever way they decide for you you are unlikely to feel anything.

Best of luck with it.

It is probably the best way to do it. I have seen it done on tv like that once. My sister had her hip replacement done awake, she was ok she listened to music and of cause they numb things up so you don’t feel things. Wishing you all the best and like ours have said, please let us know how you got on.Suzie
