I’ve noticed over the last few months I get really hot when doing the slightest little thing I’m especially hot at night even though no heating is on and windows are open.
My actual temperature is ok so really not sure what causes this and so often.
Just wondering if anybody gets this type of symptoms and if anything can be done about it apart from spending the rest of my life sat in the fridge.
Thank you in advance for any feedback.

I am either freezing cold or boiling hot. Always hot at night that I wake up in sweat. I am forever throwing the covers off. I currently have a diagnosis of Progress Ataxia but have another consult booked for next month now they have my MRI results. Sorry I can't help you.
i know one of the functions the cerebellum controls is body temp. one of my neuros threw out that my body doesn't regulate its temperature well. oh really? i thought. 🥵 every time i move i get super overheated. i can go from comfy to boiling and literally dripping sweat within five minutes.
i got my hormone levels checked in case i was entering early menopause, but nope. everything was fine there. i actually tend to run a bit lower than 98.6, but heat has been the bane of my existence since i was 8. to add to the fun, in the past year i also now get so cold my hands go numb and my fingertips turn purple.
I’ve read a lot of posts from people commenting on fluctuating temperature for no apparent reason. My own temperature can be up and down, and I’m well past menopause 😉When I get hot I literally get the urge to open the fridge..
When I get cold, it seems to take forever to reach normal body again no matter how many clothes I put on. And usually it’s extremities that are worst affected..even my nose😶
In recent months I’ve noticed similar hot flashes. Sometimes in bed and sometimes when sitting and sometimes exercising. I haven’t discussed with my Dr yet. I’ve blamed it on weight gain over the last 2 years. It usually goes away in 15-20 minutes but definitely worrisome when it happens! Thanks for posting!
As soon as I do anything, I'm boiling hot. It's like having hot flushes. I haven't even spoken to the neurologist or Dr about this as I really think they'll just dismiss it! I finished my menopause 13 years ago, but often feels like I'm still in it! I don't get cold very often, but if I do it takes ages for me to warm up.
I believe it's all part of the nervous system that ataxia disturbs.....it is in charge of so many functions like the skin, and the heart, etc. I have several bad effects from my compromised nervous system.
