I asked for hydrotherapy when I was diagnosed. It was done through my physio. Our local NHS hospital has a hydrotherapy pool.

Thanks for your reply cocoa we can’t seem to get much help with physio they have stopped my sons sessions and said we would have to pay for hydrotherapy - is it helping you

I was only allowed a few sessions and that was a few years ago. They showed me what to do and I used it when I went to the pool locally. I think it helped but fatigue was the biggest problem, so I stopped going.

Covid has changed what is available for everybody.

Hi Bearbonny, Although I am much older than your son and was once a good swimmer I can not swim now as my body is totally uncoordinated. I have now however bought a swimming vest which keeps me bouyant and two yeas ago I was able to swim off the side of a boat on my holidays.
