Hi everyone

Am wondering how many of us

Experienced any worsening of Ataxia symptoms

During the Covid lockdown ?

I did experience greater wonky gait and balance plus certainly more increased fatigue

During the months of Covid lockdown ...

Felt more flare ups of increased Ataxia symptoms

Plus worst of all ....

Was my bladder had gone completely Incontinence on me too

Used to have very good bladder muscles too

Could hold it for ages

Then gradually over 8-6months it grew weaker and weaker

Till NO control left !!!!

Took me ages to adapt and accept it

Spoke to Professor Marios

About it - he confirmed it was down to my Type of Ataxia

During the lockdown

I WAS struggling with my Ataxia definitely ....

wonder if ? Others did too

Hi Anna,

I'm in the US, so the state I'm in did not have lockdown as long as other states, and I was still able to get outside and exercise during it. Our lockdown wasn't a true lockdown, where we couldn't leave. I was working remotely for most of the pandemic at a highly stressful job. In the last year, I was more fatigued and my legs get tired quicker. I can't walk as long or as far, as I did. I don't know if there is a correlation to the pandemic though.
