My sinuses seem to have been worse than usual over the past week, to the point that I couldn't hear anything yesterday. Possible infection. Tinnitus very bad today. Anyone any recommendations on how to easy this, have tried the usual.

Have you tried methylcobalamin? You can get a spray called B12 boost

I take 1000ug of Solgar B12 daily. Does that contain methylcobalamin?

Not sure but it may break down into it anyway

Saline nasal spray to help clear your 'passages' Boots sell a children's version which is cheap and very effective, avoid the other chemical ones as they may make it worse with continued use. A Neti pot used daily, follow the instructions but it helped me hugely. These will help you but will not directly impact on the tinnitus unless the blocking is aggravating it.

Currently using neilmed sachets morning and night as well as vaporub under nose. Inside my head feels compacted.

Have you tried noise cancelling headphones....I have had right sided ear problems noises ringing whooshing throbbing since day 1 and I know that even the slightest background noises can send me potty. I love it when you go to ENT and they take you in the soundproof room. 10 mins in there and the noise reduces to next to nothing. It soon comes back within minutes of leaving there though. Other than that try some herbal salts with some hot water and breathe in the vapes that may decongest if its stuffy sinuses

Having young kids in the house is hard, they are not the quietest. What drives me nuts is the cycle complete alarms on washing machines/dishwasher/etc. I cannot identify which one is going off.

Is it in both ears? As I have asked for some galaxy earbuds for my birthday next month as the newer brand say they are noise cancelling so if its only one side I will let you know if it works

Yes in both ears. Several different noise pitches.

How do the noise cancellation headphones benefit noise within the ears if you don't mind me asking? I am a side sleeper due to vertigo and headphones have been hard to find.

I find my tinnitus is worse when in a noisy environment and if I can lay quiet it reduces it alittle. ENT also tried me with a hearing aid whichever quietened things down too but my vertigo appeared to get worse . At the mo the only reduction is quiet. Maybe try some quies they are soft foam earplugs they may work. You can get them from amazon for less than a fiver so worth a try.

Just out of interest you might want to look at this site. I can't verify if it is correct but I would have reservations about bluetooth headphones while sleeping, that is why I looked it up. I don't wish to destroy your birthday buzz.radiationhealthrisks.com/is...

I've got my hopes before only to be let down. Not beneficial for all tinnitus, I wonder about ataxia related ataxia.

It is only available in Ireland and a couple of other countries right now. The hospital my neurosurgeon is in is the only one in Ireland.
