I am trying to predict the future here, I have been working from home since 23rd March after I was sent home as too vulnerable to stay, fair enough I am able to carry out around 75-80% of my work at home, the rest I get info from colleagues in the workplace which then allows me to do a further 10-15% of my work. As things improve people are starting to return to work and I am now a bit scared because my condition has worsened and i cannot walk at all without a walking aid, prior to being told to work from home I used a walking stick at work for around the last 3 months, I have pre - empted this by speaking to the equalities person who said I would need to be risk assessed by the Health & Safety person before i was allowed to return. Has anybody any experience of this type of scenario?

I think you continuing to work home would be considered a reasonable adjustment, permanently, if that’s what you wanted, regardless of the Covid threat. It is reasonable because you are able to do 90% of your work which is a considerable amount. I would advise you to ask to see your firm’s occupational health team and/or your ataxia clinic may have access to a specialist OH- I have been referred to the one at UCLH.
Thank s for replying, at the moment I couldn't go in to work until I get the all clear from cancer which is fair enough, I'm hoping this will be in December, part of my job is interviewing clients (prisoners) which my colleagues are doing for me at the moment and I am completing all the assessment paperwork and referrals etc. from home (I have been set up with all relevant equipment including a secure email address)The company I work for have been brilliant up to now and my line manager is fully supportive but there is always a nagging doubt in the back of my mind
