People Are Amazing

Morning to one and all,You people are amazing, you really just get on with what’s been thrown at you.

Aye, it’s not easy for you all.

And reading through the posts I feel like I’m lucky compared to others.

And not forgetting those family carer’s who dedicate their love & time......❤️

Love the poster Matelot, my wife is my carer, and was paid carers allowance, but as soon as she reached retirement age and was paid her long awaited pension, they stopped the carers allowance...... so any lady out there who is a carer and reaching retirement age.....BEWARE!! 🤨

I paid a massively reduced council tax and rent as I was receiving guaranteed pension credit as well as my PIP etc..

That all stopped when they topped up how much income I was receiving, including my private Navy Pension.

I was literally a couple of quid over, so the Guaranteed Pension Credit was stopped and I now pay full rent & Council tax.

My Navy Pension is small - monthly. But it is that apparently that tipped the balance.

So, hey-ho, I get these moneys in one hand and pay them it all back with the other😂

But life is OK😁😁

First of all welcome back we have missed you

Having just had my 80th birthday (no I know I don't look that old but perhaps you should go to Specsavers!!) I no longer have to struggle financially because my pension has gone up-----25p per week. Ha. Ha. You have got to laugh haven't you Next thing we will have is road tax on our invalid scooters

I must go now, I have got things to do but heck I can't remember what they are

Unfortunately there has to be a cut off line drawn somewhere on the benefits scheme, just crappy when you're the person only just over the limit.

Hope it's lovely and sunny in the UK today ☀️, it was here yesterday, but today is grey and drizzly.
