Hi FixSCA6

There was a study performed by a neurologist in Newcastle solely on patients in Newcastle that showed a high prevalence of SCA6 in the North East. This study was used to demonstrate that SCA6 is quite prevalent throughout the UK rather than being particularly prevalent just in Newcastle.

I know SCA6 is one of the more common SCAs in the UK. I have not heard that it is particularly so in Newcastle.

Best wishes

I don't I am afraid. I am in the Ataxia UK office tomorrow. The study was funded by us. I will ask the Research Manager, Julie Greenfield, if she has anything.

Best wishes
