Just applied for warm home discount (UK only) via my UK energy supplier. This is a one off annual payment and takes form of an electricity credit by 31 March. There are eligibility rules. And only some applications are checked (about 15%). Many are not checked. Application window is only open for a short period to limit applications. When you change energy supplier a new WHD needs applying for, which means can not change energy suppliers. Am reminding you in case you have missed window in the past. Apply if unsure. Search online for online application, find correct 'phone number to apply by 'phone.
My energy supplier had to refund me in April £278 which is nearly 2x WHD. They can not budget your payments to take into account your success with WHD.

In my experience, every supplier has their own rules. You have to ask & assume nothing.
I can't remember the details, but we changed supplier one year and didn't fit the new supplier' eligibility criteria. So by chancing my arm, I approached our previous supplier (suggested by new supplier, btw!), and we were able to claim it off them as the 'claim window' had been open when we were still with them (or something daft like that).
Ignore the nonsense in the detail of my failing mind, but learn from it that you have to ask to get it, and if that doesn't work, sometimes the ridiculous or seemingly impossible works instead (like asking the previous supplier - who'd have thought?).
Best of luck.
Cheers, Neil.
P.S. We choose our supplier through the Moneysavingexpert Energy Club (which costs us nothing). I'm pretty sure that when the tool comes up with our options, it tells us whether the warm home discount is paid or not (note that not every supplier provides it).
Well done for having a supplier who does WHD. Not all do. When unsure, tick all options, they only check some by calling DWP. Each supplier has different form with different ticks.
