Does anyone else use a vibrating machine? I have a very good one which was in storage while I lived in a flat. Now I have more room I have started using it again It shakes the body all over but has handles to hold on ( thank goodness!). I really feel it’ just has to help with my symptoms . I’m very wobbly when I first come off it but that feeling goes very quickly

What is a vibrating machine? The only machine that I have that vibrates is an electric toothbrush snd that helps a drop but no lasting effect that I could tell.

Vibrating machines were developed by nasa originally to help astronauts gain the bone and muscle density that they lose in space, but they are quite common now lots of gyms have them. They are large bases that you stand on and they vibrate like mad but you can alter the speed. A bit like standing on a washing machine during spin cycle! I’ve started using mine everyday. If anyone was thinking of getting one I would strongly advise to get one with fixed strong handles. You can get ones that can store under the bed but they have no handles and I wouldn’t feel safe on one of those but they may suit over people and are probably cheaper

Hi, yes I use one regularly. I have SCA3 and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that daily stretching and exercise is the key to staying as mobile as possible . I use the vibration plate at the end of my exercises and truly believe it helps.
