Unfortunately it means I can't drive, I also tend to look at things with one eye closed.

Hi I have nystagmus and I can miss things I am suppose to be looking at, I do not see the whole picture. It can also make me off balance and feel dizzy. I also find reading hard following the rows. Sometimes my nystagmus can ease off a bit, so sometimes they move a lot and other times not as much, not sure why.

Best wishes

Suzie

😏 Most of us cope with Nystagmus in one form or another. Interesting information on moorfields.nhs.uk search ‘dancing eyes’. Magnetic implants used to treat dancing eyes 🙂xB

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I only get nystagmus occasionally after exercising or when tired. as I think it has been present for 5 - 8 years , I am hopeful any deterioration will be very slow

I was diagnosed with Nystagmus Earlier this year after struggling to read

I can only see things straight when I look straightahead otherwise everything moves and I am having to use one eye know earlier this year after struggling to read and following the lines.

I can only see things straight when I look straightahead otherwise everything moves and I I tend to use one eye and closing the other one to stop everything and jumping around.

After my last visit to the optitions, she prescribed the glasses that have prisms in them and it helps with the jumping around maybe you could try that.

She was really good.

Maybe you could try that xxx
