Friedrich's ataxia
I was also diagnosed with late onset FA, my symptoms started in my mid 40's and it was confirmed by blood testing when I was 49. What age were you when it started? How are you now?
I was also diagnosed with late onset FA, my symptoms started in my mid 30's and it was confirmed by blood testing when I was 40. According to the stats it is around 1 per 50,000 or 20 per million with FA which means about 1,300 in the UK............. personally I think it is higher than that!
