Hello Angie57

I would suggest that you check with your doctor or neurologist but if your sight is OK I would think you will get a new licence My Nystagma made me give up driving but I made the decision myself as I knew I would be unsafe

Good luckl Ted

Hi Angie🙂 If you contacted the DVLA to notify them of your diagnosis a year ago, and you've had no reply, definitely chase it up🙂

Usually they're fairly prompt in confirming receipt of your form but inevitably there's a delay while they confer with your Neurologist. 🙂xB

Hi angie, contact the DVLA again to see where they are up to with checking. Usually once you have informed them of your diagnosis they send it to their medical advisory team and if needed send you a letter requesting you make a special appointment with the GP to complete a form. This is usually within 6 weeks so worth chasing yours. Even if the GP says things are ok the DVLA may put you on a review license - mine is every 3 years but it ensures your insurance is valid. Good luck!
