hi everyone,

just to let you know that this Saturday (if the weather is good) I'm doing a skydive. It's to celebrate my 50th birthday. Something I've always wanted to do- many people think I'm nuts lol.

I'm fundraising for ataxia UK at the same time. If anyone would like to add to the sponsors then the link is gofundme\aliwali . Thanks 😊 xx

Where are you doing the skydive, I ask cause I was refused due that I couldn't raise my legs for landing during the training it was a tandem jump I was doing.

Thank you

hi Stuart, it's in France, near Pau. I live in France about half an hour from France. It's with a someone who specializes in skydives for disabled people. I shall be in a sitting position, so it's his legs not mine that touch the floor. I wouldn't and couldn't do a normal tandem jump

Hi wibblywobbly

I would love to do it but there doesn't seem to be anywhere in UK that specialise in disabled tandem jumps it's in my bucket list so I need to try and find a way.

Thank you for your reply.

Why not? I've been up in a balloon, white water rafting in France, elephant riding In Bali, fire walking for charity etc. Sieze the moment !!!!!!

wow😊. I don't think I've enough strength for white water rafting (did before I was ill), and think I'd have lots of difficulty getting on an elephant, but hot air balloon is def next on my list.

were you already ill when you did all these activities? Wondering if I can put a chair in a hot air balloon (not wheelchair) just so I can sit

Go for it!

You'll love it. The view is amazing and when the chute opens, everything happens in slow motion.
