I have had a relaxing day and thought to do the housework slowly, however whenever I went to stand up after bending down, I felt a bit faint (but didn't pass out). Took deep breaths to increase the oxygen to the blood and made sure I took little and often snacks and plenty of fluids throughout the day.
Is this another symptom of Ataxia and does anyone else have it? A bit worrying as I don't usually have this symptom.

The symptoms you are describing could suggest that your blood pressure is lowering when you move from a sitting to standing position-known as postural hypotension. I would advise making an appointment with your GP to get your blood pressure checked.
In the meantime, if this continues, make sure you stand slowly from a sitting/lying position, always hold onto something when doing so and don't move off quickly.
Thank you for sharing that advice with me Harriet. I will share the information with the Doctor.... awaiting results of MRI so hope to see him/her soon. Thanks again.
I have MSA and this is one of the symptoms postural Hypotension ( basically blood pressure drops drastically) I now stand from sitting or lying down by gently standing and taking a little breather before trying to walk.
Very good advice but we are slow doing everything so it could easily just be getting up to quickly and I am also very food orientated. Much better if full tummy! Having things checked though will stop the worry : )
Hi, i have ataxia and do not have those symptoms, have you had your blood pressure checked at all as posture change can cause this when your BP is low....Eileen..
