Baby Hippopotamus

Has anyone else ever been asked by their Neurologist to pronounce these words "Baby Hippopotamus"?

I can not remember how far back it was when I was first asked. But even now I can not pronounce `Hippopotamus`.

I get as far as Hippopo.... then it comes out as Hippopopopop etc, etc......

Yep, I was diagnosed about 20 years ago and have never had occasion to repeat 'baby hippopotamus' in the course of daily conversation!! ~ Bob

it is part of their training, others are 33 West Register Street (somewhere in Edinburgh) and British Constitution.

Nigel, I did not know there were others, thanks for the info`. Bob, I must admit I have never had any occasion either, I was just wondering if any others had been asked and it seems they had.

My speech is slowly is deteriorating to thepoint where I`ll probably have too see a speech therapist (I think that is their title).

I see my Neurologist in September at the R.V.I. Newcastle - have lots to ask and will make a print-out of the questions :-)

Lately, I`ve been sleeping for everyone, sleep, sleep, sleep, it`s all I want to do. I just feel tired all the time. Yesterday I slept from 11.50am to 4.20pm. I still felt really, really, really tired so went to lay on the bed - set the alarm clock for 6pm - and woke up at 2am the following morning, never heard the alarm clock :-(

I made a mug of tea and would you believe it....................I fell asleep again and woke up at 10.50am.

Whilst typing this I`m feeling like I could sleep for the world.

I`ve got two lovely electric coolers running in the bungalow and the rooms are nice and cool so it`s not the heat.

Maybe the old body just needs th sleep :-)

It`s a funny old world :-)
