You too John!

Although it's anything but calm here at the moment! We've got my daughter's

Bengal kitten here till Sunday and our cat hates him. It's only been an hour

and a half but it feels like an eternity! I suspect the kitten needs a visit to the

vet to neutralise him, I'm tempted to do a d.i.y. job! xB

Poor kitten :-)

Well, I managed to do all the movement exercises the Physio' wants me to do, including the ones using the zimmerrfame which was a bit scary.

So I'm having a nice cup of tea and a lay dwon :-)

If you do them with a zimmer frame, could you be sort of pole dancing? xB

That would be a sight to avoid :-)

You made me laugh, thank you! It's a bit of a long day cat wise. xB

Hopefully those pesky pudy tats are resting...... so you can catch up on your "cat naps" ;-)

I read recently that there is a cafe in Paris which serves people, humans, as well as cats because French apts tend to be cramped, and in this cat cafe, the felines can roam free. Sounds awful. I have zero tolerance for hairy crawlers, especially when there is food around!!.

I love my cats dearly ( I have 3) but they are prone to getting under my feet which causing a few trodden-on paws! They also like to 'bump' my hands when I try to put their food down so it quite often gets spilt on the floor. I wouldn't be without them though - a purring cuddle can help after a difficult day.

I have 2 pussycats, Molly and Zoey. Life would be so empty without them even though they do everything Tiggywinkles cats do! I think cats are very intelligent animals and understand we humans probably more than we give them credit for. The unconditional love that we receive from our pets is so special! Have a great day everyone!

We have a temporary truce here. One cat here with me, the other asleep (I hope)

on the landing. Nando has a thing about running water, so I let the tap in the utility

slowly drip, this kept him out of trouble for ages. We used to have 2 cats of our

own, both were neutered and I think this helps reduce aggression, Nando is on

borrowed time with this! I love cats, but I'll be glad when my daughter gets back

on Sunday! xB

I've never had a kitten/cat. Dogs as kid shared with my brothers. Got my own dog - dogs home - when I left the R.N. Best friend I ever had. We went everywhere togethere except my place of work. Gutted me when she had to be put to sleep, really did :-(

Yes John, it really is painful when you find that there's no alternative other than to have your dog put down..... even the expression 'put down' is ugly and totally devoid of the emotional implications of the act. I had little alternative other than to have my dog 'put down' about three years ago as cancer of the leg and lung was diagnosed, it was indeed awfully upsetting. I would love to have another but realistically I would be unable to properly train the animal or walk it. I find this saddening as I do so enjoy the presence of a dog in the house, its smell, its sounds, and of course its affection. The dog that was taken ill was a Leonberger, a cross between a Newfoundland and a St Bernard, huge and hairy. I'm seventy shortly so I guess I have to accept a dog-free life for the future. In truth, all of us with Ataxia, when we look into the future have to accept the absence of lots of things.Perhaps I should employ someone who'd roll in the mud then stand in my hallway and bark!

The passing of a much loved pet is heartbreaking. Animals can be so comforting and faithful.

Just as well they leave us with lots of happy memories. xB

Our pets really do become "family", and love us unconditionally! I've had many dogs over the years, but also love cats, rabbits and birds. My beloved "Teddy" died in my arms two years ago, and I still miss him terribly! He was a fluffy white 20 Lb Bichon. Like you Piero, I've yet to get another, as my ataxia has progressed, and I don't know if I could take care of a dog properly (training, letting it outside, going for walks, etc.). I've thought about a cat though, as they use a litter box and don't need to be walked. Beryl, I don't mean any ill will, but I laughed at what you said regarding your daughter's kitten and your cat. I can visualize the kitten wanting to play and the cat, not so much...,ha! Also, cats don't like new fur-balls in their space! I love your sign John! I live in the States and have seen many items that start with, "Keep Calm..." In fact, I recently bought a mug that says, "Keep Calm And Have A Cup Of Tea". I hope you enjoy your day also! You are truly an inspiration, and I throughly enjoy your posts! ;o)

I'm sure "Dollar" (her name) was psychic. When approachnlg my house in my car after work I would switch the engine into neutral and let it just coast to a stop. I tell you now my brother would say the dog would not move one inch when other cars drove past, and yet.................suddenly Dollar would jump up run to the front door tail wagging........she "it was me".

WEIRD OR WHAT :-)
