I wonder if that's what I had a few months ago, 1 capsule a day? Terrible indigestion and generally felt awful on them? Can't remember the name of the ones I had.

I took it for 9 months If taken on an empty stomach it makes you feel sick. Best to take after food. I'm back on them also since Sunday but I'm taking 500 twice a day for 2 days and then 250 after that.

This whole disease stinks. I don't even bother to go to the doctor or hospital check ups any more! Just looked and I take one 500mg a day for 14 days but one antibiotic prescribed made me think I was dying - can't remember what it was now but I don't drink enough water and that was the problem apparently. Make sure you drink plenty and I hope you feel loads better tomorrow!

I'm with you on this. Clarith makes me feel so I'll I can barely function. Last year a GP told me to take the 500mg as long as possible then break them in half &take half tab x daily.

I did just that last Dec. Managed 3 days on the full dose then it took nearly 2 weeks to finish the course. (3 days after that the infection came back so started Azithromycin but that's another story).

Ask your GP if you can halve them, it made a huge difference to me. P

I have been on clarith too, and did not make a difference to the green I was coughing up. I ended up with pneumonia and hospitalized for 5 days!. Am now home and on Doxycycline for one month! I hate taking antibiotics at all but have inflammation in my lungs, and they are trying to find out what is causing it. Always take any antibiotic with as much water as possible, and in the middle of a meal. That way any side effects will be lessened.
