Good antibiotics been on em when usual have not worked
bit big but do work
I am allergic to Penicillin and my GP always gives me these. Having tried many antibiotics in my lifetime, I rate it highly and have never had any side effects. Much nicer to take than Erythromicin. Hope it works it's magic for you.
Hi, I was given a course of Clarithromycin intravenously along with Amoxicillin for a chest infection when I was in hospital a few weeks ago. Then I went onto tablet form. I had absolutely no problems with it.
Hope you get better soon 🌻
Works well for me these days as amoxicillin has no effect
I have copd when i have chest infection i have steroids n clarythrimicin for 2 weeks consultant said itswise to take them. a week never gets rid of infection. My concerns now are the back up care plan drs are only going to give 5 days steroids n 5 days antibiotics not good for me or people with copd my consultant alternates doxycycline & clarythromicin
I take this and stop Azithromycin when having flare up, as allergic to Doxy, I have the one a day slow release tabs. But still need steroids sometimes aswell
good antibiotic, are used when doxyc"isnt working, there are hundreds of antibiotics and hundreds of "bugs"- your doc obviously knows what he/she is doing, just keep taking the pills, you will soon feel better.x
Hi, my emergency antibiotics are Clarithromycin and Prednisolone. No problems. Other antibiotics do not work for me. Good luck and take care Maximonkey
I think clarithromycin are great, no side effects for me and really clears any infection up. Amoxicillin does nothing for me and doxycycline makes me sick e wry time I take it so don't get it any more, been to,d clarithromycin very expensive too
Thanks to you all, info much appreciated .
Am now seeing a different GP who seems to think that my condition can be brought under control using different inhalers without being referred back to the Respiratory Clinic.
Also have been switched from Nystan (don't think it ever worked) to Daktarin Gel and am (finally) Thrush free.
