Hi All

In Feb/March 2 millions letters will go out to the people who are to be affected by the changes, just wanted to clarify something in the letter that was not made clear

If you’re aged 16 to 64 on 8 April 2013 then you’ll be affected by the introduction of Personal Independence Payment, even if you get an indefinite or lifetime award of Disability Living Allowance.

So you need to be over 64 on the 8th of April 2013 for the changes not to have any effect on your DLA

Kind regards

Carol

Reading from their website it say •DLA will also continue to be available for those aged 65 and over on 8 April 2013

I am sure it should read anyone aged 65 and over. Not 64? Can you clarify this please Carol. I do know they are making changes all the time.

Hi

Here is a link to the letter that is being sent out

dwp.gov.uk/docs/example-dla...

Is does say 64 or over on the 8th of April you will be affected and 65 or over on this date you will not be.

Hope this makes sense

Kind regards

Carol
