Has anyone heard from Wendells in Australia since the Cyclone?

No Dall, I can't say I have. I hope he is OK and that it's nothing more than he might have lost power so cant use the PC.

Yes hopefully thats it. Maybe she's lost power or broadband connection. By the way wendells is a she not a he going by her profile. whoops!
Last message I saw was that the electricity was off, so could not even make a cuppa.
I'm guessing she was using a laptop with a mobile dongle, as the home broadband would be out without power for the modem/router. If she can't charge the laptop up then there's not a lot she can do to get online.
It could be that the power backup to the mobile network has gone, quite a number of possibilities really.
