They are wanting my resting heart rate down to 60 and have put me on tablets short term to do so, but they are not working my resting heart is any where from 68 to 75 .
My question is some of other meds that we take like inhalers and anti depressants do they speed up your resting heart rate?

I do believe some inhalers,do speed up the heart rate,eg.ventolin.Personally I would be very happy if my resting rate was the same as yours! Mine would be 80-95.
Even before I got sick, I had a fast heartbeat.I have had an angiogram etc.they said if my lungs, were as good as my heart,I would live to 100! Dont know about the anti depressants, someone else will, no doubt.
But when all is said and done, please ask your Doctor,he should be able to answer these questions!
Mine ticks over at 106, has done for over two years, I am told that steroids and medication of all sorts effect it, as does lack of exercise etc. The hospital don't seem too worried unless it starts to climb to high. But it's the catch 22 situation to do exercise you must be able to breath and to breath you must do exercise. I am also told 80 would be an ideal target for me.
Mine is about 80 at rest and goes up to about 130 when I walk. Docs have said they are not worried about it though so neither am I.
