My middle sister and her boyfriend invited me round to his at Christmas. I am really pleased. Wasn't looking forward to spending it on my own (though putting a brave face on).

Aww thanks all you fellow night birds! Apparently it was her bf's idea. And the best thing is he and my sister are fun (unlike my youngest sister who is unable to let go of her dignity and enjoy herelf). Should have good time. Hope you all have good xmas.

I hope you have a fantabulous time HyperCat. No one should ever be on their own at Christmas. I did it one year and it was truly awful. Good on your sisters BF for thinking of you.
The fact that your sister and her BF are fun to be with will, hopefully, make your Christmas one to remember.
Yeah I was on my own last year for the first time. It wasn't awful but I did feel very lonely sitting down to my solitary meal. And sorry for myself. I had decided to just stay drunk this year!
